Meridian St, Indianapolis Advent Festival of Lessons & Carols, Indianapolis Pro Musica, I look from afar: and lo, I see the power of God coming, and a cloud covering the whole earth. Go ye out to meet him and say: Tell us, art thou he that should come to reign over thy people Israel? This popular Advent liturgy returns with engaging lessons from the prophets, grand hymns with brass and timpani, and glorious anthems and motets, all announcing the coming of Christ. This chamber choir of Indianapolis will sing music from the Renaissance Period known as the golden age of choral music.

Monday, December 19, 7:00PM, St. Francis Episcopal Church, located at 152 Mulberry Street, Zionsville, 13th ANNUAL CHRISTMAS BRASS CONCERT, The Indiana Brass will present its 13th annual Christmas concert . A beloved staple of the St. Francis Concert Series since its incep-tion, the Indiana Brass Quintet ushers in the Christmas spirit with a festive program of holiday fa-vorites. The concert will feature arrangements of well-known Christmas carols, seasonal reper-toire, and a carol sing-a-long. Members of the Indiana Brass hail from the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra. Bring the entire family and enjoy the spirit of Christmas, brass style! A reception will follow the concert. The concert is free and open to the public. Donations will be cheerfully ac-cepted. Admission: $10, children 10 & under free. Tickets available at the door. No advanced sales. "The Holly and the Ivy" Holiday Organ Concert features classic holiday music played the 1892 Sanborn & Son pipe organ (restored by Goulding & Wood, 2011) in the Grand Hall of Indiana Landmarks Center. The concert will feature A.G.O. organists David Lamb, Lee Barlow, Tom Nichols, and Travis Person, and A.G.O. member Rex Hinkle, tenor, along with others. The pro-gram will also include audience sing-a-longs to get everyone in the holiday spirit. Meridian St, Indianapolis, A Festival of Lessons & Carols This beautiful service, based on the medieval vigil, was first held at Truro Cathedral in England. It has since become a favor-ite throughout the world. Lessons telling the story of Christ’s birth are read by choristers and members of the community, while car-ols and anthems resound the message of Christmas. Organ prelude begins at 4:30 p.m.

Sunday, January 8, 4:00PM, St Paul’s Church, 6050 N. Meridian St, Indianapolis, Epiphany Lessons & Carols St. Paul’s Choir sings a reflective candlelit service of scripture and song. Epiphany celebrates the appearance of God’s glory in the world through the birth of Jesus, our Emmanuel ("God with us"), and the revelation of the incarnation to the world. It has been marked since the 3rd century with a Feast Day on January 6 and celebrated in both East and West in a rich variety of ways. The Greek word epiphany means literally "sudden appearance" and refers above all to the manifestation of God.

Sunday, January 22, 4:00PM, St Paul’s Church, 6050 N. Meridian St, Indianapolis, The Abel Family Quartet Alfred and Colette Abel have been making music in Indiana for over twenty five years. Alfred is a founding member of the Indian-apolis Chamber Orchestra and concertmaster of the Lafayette Symphony Orchestra. Collette plays in many professional orchestras and comes from a family of six, all professional musicians who embrace chamber music as a way of life. Recently they have been joined by their very talented children, Benjamin, a violinist, and Clara, a cellist. You will want to mark this date to hear exciting chamber music come alive with this extraordinary family. Admission is Free.
